The Wilderness is a charming, detached old miners’ cottage at the foot of the Stiperstones Hill range in Shropshire. The cottage is mostly set over the ground floor with a first floor family room featuring a king-size double bed and a single day bed. There is also a ground floor room with 2 single beds and a family bathroom, meaning the cottage can sleep four people. You will also find a well-equipped kitchen and a sitting room boasting a cosy woodburning stove and a dining area. Outside there is off road parking for four cars, a front lawned garden with a patio and furniture and a rear courtyard with more outdoor furniture. The Wilderness truly is a wonderful base for a holiday exploring Shropshire, all year round!

Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner and log fired hot tub inc. in rent. Wood for the stove can be purchased from the village shop. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot on request. Off road parking for 4 cars. Bike storage. Front lawned garden with patio, furniture and BBQ. Rear courtyard garden with furniture and log fired hot tub. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 10 mins walk. Please note: New broadband system fitted January 2020 delivering reliable broadband.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
